Mitsubishi TFT LCD EOL Notice

Mitsubishi have recently announced their complete range of industrial TFT’s have been made EOL.

For many years, Mitsubishi was known for their quality, performance and reliability however Mitsubishi Electric has made the decision to withdraw from the TFT-LCD market.

Tianma has a long history in the same markets as Mitsubishi with competing displays and the same valued high quality, high performance and long time availability (many of their displays are still in the market after 10-15years). In 2016 Tianma acquired the Japanese TFT manufacturer NLT (formally NEC) this secured the long term availability of NLT industrial displays now sold under the Tianma brand and the technology share together with Tianma’s greater manufacturing capability resulted in even more new and exciting displays added to the portfolio.

Many of the sizes within the Tianma range can be used when looking to re-design from Mitsubishi, for example there are 8.4” VGA high brightness displays part numbers NL6448BC26-26F (CMOS interface) and NL6448BC26-27F (LVDS interface), 10.4” XGA part number NL10276BC20-18F and 12.1”XGA part number NL10276BC24-21F that would be very good choices along with many others in the large range available.

There is a large range of standard industrial sizes such as 5.7", 6.5", 7" both normal and wide as well as 8.4", 10.4" and the every popular 12.1" and 15". The Tianma panels come in varied brightness levels and resolutions and backed by years of experience from RDS.
